Hi! This is a trip to Iceland in the best season for a first trip here, in our humble opinion. Travel plan

We meet you at Kefvlavik airport, load into our cars and start to make a short walk to see the capital of this small country of Iceland. Than we're checking in to our cozy house and prepare to have our first dinner together, where we will get to know each other better

No time to explain! We're off to see the beauty of South Iceland. Today we plan to visit Thingvellir National Park, Gudlfoss Waterfall and the most frequently erupting real Geyser. These are probably the most touristy places on our way, but there's no way to miss them. After all, they are so famous for a reason:)
In the evening we go to our lodge in the middle of Icelandic fields, share our first impressions and prepare for the next day

The day is dedicated to Ice in its various forms! The main and farthest point of the route is the Jökulsárlón Glacier Lagoon. We will see how giant icebergs, broken off from one of the largest glaciers in Europe, drift towards the Atlantic Ocean, and then are thrown out by shards to the place with the marvelous name of Diamond Beach
But the ice adventure doesn't end there and we go to see, walk, touch and learn the tongue of the very glacier whose icebergs we just saw in the water.
No you just read it again: WE'RE GOING ON an ancient glacier with crampons and helmets, with ice axes and a cool instructor!
This activity will impress you. trust me!
Closer to sunset, on the way home, we will walk along the Fjadrargljufur Gorge and see it in all its winter beauty

Waterfalls. The main characters of this day. Having seen the frozen water the day before, we head off to see the Delightful waterfalls of these places. Skogafoss, Seljalandsfoss, Gluifrafoss, another secret "foss" - these 4 non-freezing waterfalls will not leave us indifferent. We'll divide them up like this. First we will visit the ones that we are not likely to get wet under, and in the evening we will visit the ones where getting wet is a great option to feel the full experience of approaching the waterfalls. It's well worth it!
Also this day we stop by the famous black beach and the town of Vik (the southernmost "town" of Iceland) and eat delicious soups in one of the local establishments

After these active days, we let ourselves rest a bit and wake up later. We will have a breakfast of pancakes with aromatic coffee - as if we were at our good Icelandic mother's house. We will meet the dawn with a beautiful view of the endless Scandinavian expanses and go to the beautiful open-air thermal lagoon. There we will spend time like real Icelanders - basking in geothermal water:)

Sadly, every journey comes to an end.
Let's go on our way, admiring the boundless landscapes that have become so native during this trip
We say heading airport. We are arranging new adventures and waiting for photos from the past trip.

See you again!
